Canyon Rescue Course (ACE-L4) - St George UT

The Canyon Rescue Course will prepare you to deal with canyoneering emergencies using the gear you already carry. Learn how to react when things don’t go according to plan. You will learn numerous rescue techniques as well as when to apply them.

Prerequisite: Formal canyoneering training or significant experience. While not required, we recommend taking Technical Canyoneering (ACE-L1), Advanced Canyoneering (ACE-L2), and Canyon Essentials (ACE-L3) prior to this course. Day 1 (6:30 pm - 8:30 pm)
Meet at Adventure Plus for orientation and classroom presentation.

Days 2 & 3 (8:00 am – 3:00 pm)
Meet at the training site. We will be in the field all day. Come prepared for 8-10 hours of hands on instruction, training, and practice.

Bring a lunch, snacks, and at least 2-3 LITERS OF WATER each day. You will also need appropriate footwear (no sandals or open toed shoes), sun protection, and rappel gloves.
