Cenotes:  The Yucatan Peninsula is a huge limestone platform where fresh water runs like rivers through underground cave systems. Part of this land collapsed after the last ice age more than 8,000 years ago, creating sinkholes called CENOTES, derived from the Mayan word “Dzonot” which means sacred well and were considered the entrance to the mythical underworld by the ancient Mayas.

Whale Shark Safari: Every year, whale sharks migrate all the way to Isla Contoy in the north of the Yucatan Peninsula to feed on the plankton in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.
